Task 1: Collaborative Group Process

Participants work in a binational team to:
  • Develop a shared dinner concept
  • Agree on a common menu and create a shopping list
  • Define roles and responsibilities collaboratively
  • Implement the cooking process together
  • Ensure shared responsibility for organisation and clean-up
  • Participate in a structured group reflection

The focus lies on:
  • how decisions are made
  • how responsibility is distributed
  • how wellbeing influences collaboration
Task 2: Personal Reflection

Each participant completes an individual reflection addressing:
  • How did I experience the group process?
  • When did I feel included or responsible?
  • How did wellbeing influence my contribution?
  • What does this experience teach me about participation in youth work?
  • How can I apply the “Feel Good – Act Good” principle in my own practice?

🔍 Additional Reflection

Methodological Perspective:
These questions support facilitators and youth workers in analysing the method itself.
Method Implementation Reflection (Group or Facilitator Level)
  • How did the structure (planning → implementation → reflection) influence the learning depth?
  • Was the balance between structure and self-organisation appropriate?
  • Did the method allow quieter participants to engage meaningfully?
  • How were power dynamics visible during planning and implementation?
  • What facilitation interventions supported inclusion — and what might need adjustment?
  • Was sustainability treated as a technical topic (ingredients, waste), or as a social process (participation, responsibility)?

Youth Work Transfer Reflection
  • How could this method be adapted for different youth groups (age, background, experience level)?
  • What risks might appear in youth settings (conflict, disengagement, unequal participation)?
  • How can facilitators create a “Feel Good” atmosphere without lowering expectations for responsibility?
  • How can this activity support youth participation projects beyond cooking contexts?
