Get ready to focus on social networks!

During this training session you will be able to reflect on how to engage people, the role of social networks, how we understand “engagement” and overview of engagement strategies’ and best practices.

This training session will help you:
  • understand the meaning of engagement;
  • learn strategies of engagement and how you should follow such strategies;
  • learn about a variety of themes which can be used as the spine of an engagement strategy.

Complete the following activities:
  1. Take 3 sheets of A4 paper and a pen. Find a partner and each of you paints a portrait of the other person. There are 3 rules: you cannot look at your hand, you should not drop the pen, and you have only one minute.
  2. Hand over the portraits. Form new couples. This process happens 3 times so that in the end, you should hold 3 portraits in your hands (the 3 portraits should represent you and be painted by other participants).
  3. Select your favourite portrait and present it to others.
  4. Stand in a circle and close your eyes. Reach into the middle, and each hand grips another, so each player in each hand holds exactly one stranger's hand. Now open your eyes. The game aim is to solve the resulting "knot out of arms".

This activity includes best practices of Stratis Consulting provided for the project DARE - Day One Alliance for Employment that is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment.
