Teave
Are you a youth worker or a teacher looking for new opportunities for non-formal learning methodology? Are you looking for ways to make learning useful for your learners’ personal life and career paths? Since the world is changing at a fast pace, this also means that there is a constant demand for new skills.
LifeComp competences provide a coherent conceptual framework for the key competence 'Personal, social and learning to learn' for lifelong learning. Each area has 3 competencies:
Personal learning
• Self-regulation,
• Flexibility and
• Wellbeing
Social learning
• Empathy,
• Communication and
• Collaboration
Learning to Learning
• Growth mindset,
• Critical Thinking and
• Managing Learning
Here are a few reasons why Cities of Learning organisers use LifeComp in their learning activities:
• In our rapidly changing society, people need to constantly update their skills, knowledge, and behavior to stay current and ready for what a person needs in their personal and career journey.
• To offer non-formal experiences and competency-based learning
• To attract learners who want to acquire specific skills
• To support the hiring manager who are looking for people with specific skills
We will provide more information and specific steps on how to integrate LifeComp competencies and the Cities of Learning platform at the in-person event’. Our Cities of Learning partners will showcase best practice of using skills frameworks and Cities of Learning platform (see for example Future Makers programme in Vilnius City of learning (Lithuania) and Youth co-designing learning, career & civic pathways in Tilburg City of Learning (the Netherlands).
So, we invite you to come and spread the word!
The international team of Cities of Learning partners will deliver this workshop:
