XLAB Creativity & Digital Art Workshop
Ages: 12–18
Duration: 3 days
About the Workshop
Hosted by CITI in collaboration with young local artist Freedom by Ezyah (Niezah La Cruz) this immersive three-day workshop is the perfect introduction for young people who want to combine their passion for art with essential digital skills. Participants will explore a variety of art forms from traditional drawing to digital content creation while building real-world projects using intuitive platforms like Canva.
What Participants Will Experience:
- Creative Exploration: Discover all types of creativity, from painting and photography to social media, music, design and more.
- Digital Design Skills: Learn to use Canva to create compelling posters, brand boards and mock social media posts even with no prior design experience.
- Project-Based Learning: Turn creative ideas into a polished digital project, showcasing who you are and what you care about.
- Brand & Pitch Development: Find your unique voice, build your creative brand and learn to pitch your work with confidence.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: See how artists today earn, gain exposure, and build opportunities in the digital world.
- Collaboration and Fun: Break the ice with creativity games and share your work in a supportive, engaging environment.
Each participant will leave with:
- A finished digital project (poster, social media post or moodboard)
- Practical experience with design software (Canva)
- Presentation and self-branding skills
- A certificate of completion and Digital Badge
- Confidence to express themselves creatively, digitally, and in person
