A badge hunt for the true beer connoisseur: Discover the diverse beer culture of Eindhoven by visiting various breweries and pubs, tasting beers, and earning badges.
Requirements
- A smartphone with access to Eindhoven City of Learning
- An open mind for new flavors
- A thirst for adventure
The Mission
Visit at least one brewery (or cafe/bar)
- Proeflocaal Café 100 Watt, a popular spot known for Lighttown Brewers' unique craft beers. Try a few of their unique brews and discover the stories behind the beers.
- Brouwerij het Veem, where you can not only enjoy Brouwerij het Veem craft beer but also learn about the brewing process. This brewery is in the Strijp-S area, so a bit more traveling is necessary.
- Van Moll bar: Conclude your adventure at the Biergarten, a cozy place to relax and enjoy a wide range of local Van Moll beers. Open till 00.00.
- Or go to just any bar in Eindhoven and check if they have local beers like Oldskool or De Mouterij.
The Beer Tasting
Taste and rate: At the location, taste a number of beers. Use the badges in this activity to share your impressions and give a rating.
The Badge Hunt
Collect the badges: After completing your beer tasting, giving a rating and if you share some brewery knowledge, you will receive the prestigious "Eindhoven Beer Connoisseur" badge.
Extra challenges
Beer of the month: Try the 0,0 alcohol from a local brewer and receive a special badge.
Beer-food pairing: Combine different beers with local dishes and discover the perfect match.
Brewery knowledge: Ask the bar tender about the brewing process of a beer.

This badge recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a deep appreciation for craft beer. To earn this badge, you must have completed a beer tasting, shared your insights through the Eindhoven City of Learning platform, and provided a thoughtful rating of the beer.

Visit a brewery or café or pub: Choose a local brewery or pub in Eindhoven.
