We invite you to explore more about the European Training Strategy competence model for youth workers to work internationally, developed in the frame of the European Training Strategy (ETS) by SALTO Training and Cooperation Resource Centre and several international experts, focusing on international youth work settings and youth workers' competences.

Watch a short presentation about the European Training Strategy and reasons for launching an ETS competence model for youth workers working internationally. Complete self-assessment in at least one ETS competence area to get a badge.

Watch the following video to prepare for competence self-assessment:

Step 1. Click on this link to access the ETS competence model for youth workers. After initial login/registration, you will need to click on the button "Generate and open" to be able to start self-assessment.

Step 2. Choose one of the competence areas to start, for example, "Facilitating learning". You can first choose to self-assess just behaviours (=competence in action) and then go deeper into the indicators level to self-assess your attitudes, knowledge and skills in the corresponding competence.

Step 3. Reflect on your self-assessment process and results. If you have an opportunity, share your discoveries and struggles with other youth workers. Then, upload results to get a badge for completing this activity.
