This onboarding activity will guide you through the first steps of your volunteering journey and help you feel informed, supported and ready for your ESC experience.
N.B: This is an in-presence activity: you are expected to attend the on-arrival training at the InCo office during your first days of your volunteering service.
During the on-arrival training, you will explore key aspects of your project, including:
- the European Solidarity Corps programme
- your rights and responsibilities as a volunteer
- the roles of the people and organisations supporting you
- learning opportunities and Youthpass
- intercultural learning
- communication, teamwork and conflict management
- practical aspects of volunteering and everyday life in Molfetta.
Most of the activities and challenges will be completed during the on-arrival training. Afterwards, you will upload evidence of your participation and learning on the platform, such as a photo, text, reflection, document or other requested material. One or two activities may need to be completed after the training, following the instructions provided.
Once your evidence has been reviewed and confirmed by your mentor or the InCo team, you will receive the corresponding onboarding badges, recognising the knowledge and skills you have gained.
And remember: the on-arrival training is an important opportunity to understand your ESC project, ask questions, connect with others and prepare for the experience ahead. Make sure you participate actively, complete the assigned activities and upload all the required evidence to collect your onboarding badges and begin your volunteering journey feeling fully prepared!
Do you need to get your knowledge refreshed?
Read the on-arrival training presentation below. It contains the information and materials that will guide you through the activities carried out during the training.
