The Befriend with the Machines skills zone is part of the Global Youth Skills. In the summer of 2018, Institute for the Future, with support from the MiSK Foundation, interviewed 60 members of this generation, aged 16 to 30, in six cities around the world: Austin, Berlin, Chongqing, Jeddah, Lagos, and Mexico City. In 2020 Dutch young people hold chats with peers from Tilburg area, to understand how Dutch young people are experiencing their learning and how they see their learning towards 2030.
