Silence - Jelena Gajinović

Inspired by the architecture of the medieval city of Urbino as well as the Ventidio Basso theater located in the small town of Ascoli Piceno, I created the concept for the work "Silence". During my stay in Urbino in the morning hours, I managed to record the empty streets of the city, which truly preserve the spirit of a time, whose urban landscapes are not disturbed by commercial content, advertising ice surfaces and other materials that change the primary function of public space. Shots of empty streets indicate the beauty of space and time that is not close to us. Therefore, the idea is to transfer this space to new spaces, in this case exhibition spaces, where visitors will have the opportunity to "immerse" in an unknown landscape that has a soothing effect with its simplicity.
