How are your cultures constructed, and how do they construct a sense of belonging?
In this task, you will explore culture not as something fixed or inherited, but as something continually created through everyday interactions. Where in your own life do you see culture being shaped through movement, encounter, and exchange? As people move across places, they bring ways of seeing, caring, and expressing that reshape shared spaces. What have you noticed about how these encounters influence your sense of belonging?
You will also explore “superdiversity,” where identities overlap across language, migration, class, faith, and more. How do your own identities intersect, and when are these layers recognised—or overlooked? Who finds it easier to belong, and who faces barriers?
This task invites you to reflect on the ethical dimensions of diversity. How do fairness, dignity, and responsibility show up in your daily actions? As culture and identity are always evolving, what might it mean to stay open, attentive, and engaged in how we live together?
