Through interactive workshops, real-life practice, and guided learning, participants gain the essential skills they need to communicate confidently, understand German society, and take their first steps toward employment or further education.

The badge signals to employers, schools, and training centres that the earner is ready to engage confidently in the German education system and job market.

📘 Learning Outcomes (What the Badge Confirms)
By earning this badge, the participant has proven that they can:
1. Communicate in Basic German (A1–A2 level)
Handle everyday conversations
Understand simple written and spoken German
Use German in basic workplace scenarios

2. Demonstrate Cultural & Social Awareness
Understand key norms, expectations, and values in German society
Communicate respectfully and work well in diverse teams
Show awareness of rights, responsibilities, and workplace behaviour

3. Understand the German Job Market
Identify main sectors, common professions, and qualification pathways
Understand workers’ rights, job contracts, and workplace rules
Know where to get help and guidance

4. Apply Job-Seeking Skills Confidently
Create a German-style CV and cover letter
Search for training, internships, and job opportunities
Demonstrate basic interview skills

5. Identify Educational & Training Pathways
Understand options such as Ausbildung, integration courses, and vocational schools

Here's a simple guide to earning your badge through the program pathway!

Below is a structured pathway that participants must complete to receive the final badge.
You can adapt this to fit your project timeline (6 weeks, 3 months, etc.).
Step 1: Orientation & Initial Assessment
✔Intake interview
✔Assessment of German language level
✔Setting personal integration and career goals
Outcome: Learner receives a personalised learning plan.

Step 2: German Language Development
✔ Attend and actively participate in German lessons
✔ Complete exercises and small assessments
✔ Demonstrate improvement in real-life communication tasks
Outcome: Learner shows functional day-to-day German (A1–A2).

Step 3: Communication & Cultural Skills Workshops
✔ Participate in workshops on social communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution
✔ Learn the basics of German cultural norms and everyday life
✔ Practice communication in mixed groups or role-playing exercises
Outcome: Learner can interact respectfully and confidently in common social and workplace situations.

Step 4: Understanding the German Job Market
✔ Attend sessions on workplace culture, workers’ rights, and expectations
✔ Explore different job sectors and training pathways
✔ Learn about support services (Jobcenter, Berufsberatung, etc.)
Outcome: Learner gains practical orientation in the German labor market.

Step 5: Job-Seeking Skills Training
✔ Create a German CV (“Lebenslauf”)
✔ Write a simple but correct cover letter (“Anschreiben”)
✔ Learn to search for jobs, internships, or training programs
✔ Participate in a mock job interview
Outcome: Learner can independently apply for work or training.

Step 6: Education & Training Guidance
✔ Learn about German schooling, vocational programs, and higher education
✔ Explore language courses, bridging programs, and youth support options
✔ Develop an educational action plan for the next 6–12 months
Outcome: Learner understands their next steps in education or training.

Step 7: Final Project or Portfolio
✔ Submit a small reflective portfolio containing:
CV + cover letter

Proof of participation

Reflection on learning progress
A simple action plan (career or education goals)

Outcome: Learner demonstrates readiness for integration and next career steps.

Step 8: Final Interview / Check-out Meeting
✔ Short conversation in German
✔ Review portfolio
✔ Discuss goals and future steps
Outcome: Learner qualifies for the final badge.

🏅 Badge Award Criteria (What needs to be completed)

To receive the badge, the learner must:
Complete all program modules:
Show regular participation (at least 70–80%)
Demonstrate practical German communication skills
Submit a complete job-seeking portfolio
Pass the final interview or assessment
Show commitment, professionalism, and respect throughout the program
