Welcome to Operation Odyssey’s Module 4: Community Us!. This 2 day course looks to unpack and explore what you know about your local community, identify opportunities to get involved in your community, and the resources needed to make where you live a healthier, happier and more positive place to be.
This learning playlist allows you to follow the training and reflect upon the learning taken from each of the two days and then requires you to identify ways in which you can apply the learning.
You will:
  • Learn about the benefits of “Community Conversations” and “Community Action Networks”
  • Take part in a mapping exercise to identify sources of support for you and your family
  • Explore ways in which you can proactively get involved in developing and supporting community-led activities alongside the Army Welfare Service team
  • Find out how to officially set up a community or friendship group, giving you the legal structure to raise funds for onsite projects
