This activity certifies the completion of the online course entitled ‘Youth work in action: making decisions that matter’, in the platform KVAK.
It demonstrates that you worked on the following topics:
- Group dynamics with real-life examples.
- Introduction to moral frameworks.
- Creating safe and inclusive spaces.
- Defining a common agreement with a group and re-evaluating agreed Rules.
- Restorative conversation.
Participants are able to:
- reflect on challenging scenarios that they might encounter in real-world education contexts and refine their responses, considering everyone involved and their core values as a youth worker.
- identify different moral frameworks that can be applied in various scenarios. They will reflect on the available options and the potential outcomes when facing similar situations.
- understand the importance of making a common agreement with a youth group.
- analyse the situation of breaking a common agreement defined by the youth group using a pedagogical approach.
- understand how to implement a restorative process with youth who don't follow the common agreements.
- to re-evaluate the process of making rules with a youth group after breaking one of them.
- foster personal insight and self-assessment, evaluating how your methods have evolved through the principles covered in this course.
